A bitter break-up with Justin Timberlake on top of Tinseltown troubles has worn its toll on Cameron Diaz, but she is finally learning to overcome the heartaches of Hollywood.
“The last couple of years were hell. I can't even tell you, it was so hard,” the blue-eyed babe told movies.com. “I didn't know how to handle it. But I think I'm in a much better place now, because I stepped away for a second and took a breath. Hollywood is a funny place. It offers so much, but it can also take a lot away from you.”
Being a beautiful blonde in the Boulevard doesn’t necessarily make things easier either, and Diaz is fed up with people who think she’s only successful because of her luck in looks.
“If a woman who is a successful actress weighs 300 pounds and has warts, nobody ever asks her, 'Do you think you made it because you're ugly?',” Cameron commented. “So why should there be prejudice against someone who's had some success in films and looks a little better than average. It's all in my genes, so don't hold it against me.”
Cam also has a couple of creative conceptions to combine her love of movies and Mother Nature. She told the site that for the next Shrek installment she’d love too set it in a kingdom Far, Far Away where there were no carbon-emissions and eco-friendly folk.
“Maybe the swamp could be in danger from an environmental disaster or something,” the screen star suggested.
