In yet another bizarre twist of the events in the world of Britney Spears, the ‘reformed’ rehabber as reached out to the paps in a loving letter.

Back in Feb, the Britster went bald and attacked a poor pap with an umbrella. But now she’s personally written a note of apology to photo agency X17, and is so proud of her gesture she even posted a copy on her official website: http://britneyspears.com/

I want to apologize for the past incident with the umbrella. I was preparing a character for a possible movie role where the husband doesn't play his part so they swap places. Unfortunately I didn't get the part. I'm sorry I got alil carried away with my role!

But while on a break from letter-writing, the pop princess was busted out and about with a new mystery man.

According to the Hollyscoop, Miss Spears spent on hour on Wednesday night chatting to the unidentified male in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel around 10pm before sneaking upstairs to a rented room for just three hours…

Perhaps Hollywood hottie Jessica Simpson should just stick to singing.

According to the New York Daily News, the release date for her latest stint on the screen has been pushed back twice and the movie won’t hit the cinema until August. But it’s also rumored that Jess’ performance isn’t much of a hit, either.

"Jessica was not very focused on-set and flubbed her lines often,” an insider splurged to the paper. “She always had her dog around, was on the phone with [then-] boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV."

If the publishing of naked pics of Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey in Life & Style magazine last week wasn't headache enough, it seems the PDA-prone couple is now set for a massive migraine.

According to perezhilton.com, “What’s Left of” the lovebirds are some highly graphic, porno-like pics which have been sent to the weeklies for publication.

“These pics make the Vanessa and Lindsay photos look tame!” an insider told perezhilton.com, referring to the pics that recently came to light featuring Minnillo and Lindsay Lohan playing with knives in sexy positions.

However, the couple has reportedly invested in legal services to stop the snaps from going glossy.
